Jeff Howlett has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Massachusetts for more than 20 years and runs a private practice out of an office in the basement of his home.

Jeff’s educational credentials include:

• Graduate of the Counseling and School Psychology Program at the University of Massachusetts at Boston where he earned a Master’s Degree in Education.
• Attendee of the Washington Theological Union in Silver Springs, MD
• Certificate in Business from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell
• Bachelor of Arts degree from Merrimack College, North Andover, MA

Jeff has worked in outpatient counseling with individuals, couples, and families for many years.  He worked for several managed care companies in Massachusetts and is currently employed at a human service agency providing psychiatric rehabilitation to persons living with major mental illnesses.

A native and life-long resident of Massachusetts, Jeff currently resides in Arlington with his family.  He has been married since 2004 and raised two adopted children.

Jeff loves the outdoors and his hobbies include biking, hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, skiing, practicing mindfulness, and meditating.  He also enjoys photography, and many of the photos on this website were taken during his adventures in Vermont,  Ipswich, MA, and Cape Cod, MA.
